My Final Project And The Research

Happy Sunday ! I am glad to announce that I have my project signed off on Friday. Today, I would like to share more about the details about the project. I am going to design eco-friendly food ware. I think global warming has become a trend as it is a global issue. I would like to help this world by creating packaging which avoid plastic. I will design some snack/bar packaging , cup noodle sushi containers and culinary. I will mainly explore natural materials such as bamboo and sugar cane paper. Furthermore, I will explore alternative transparent materials for parts of the packaging. The final outcome will be product design board which contains my sketch and digital form of my product.

This is the images about the designer - Jim Warner. the reason I have done some research about him is because he can successfully create a packaging to reduce the substantial amount of plastic in today's society. The idea of paper bottle has sparked when his son asked him " what do you do for a living?" and he answered, " I design and make bottles and packaging for people" His innocent son replied " you make trash?"

According to the statistic, 80 billion plastic bottles are produced each year annually. In my opinion, the design is excellent as every part of the bottle is made of paper which is not harmful for our environment.

From the research, I am inspired to design packagings which will not use plastic at all. I can consider natural materials such as bamboo, sugar cane paper and glass instead of typical plastic.
